Biography
JOSE ALCÁCER DURA, musician and Conductor.
Born in Riba-roja de Túria in 1977. He studied clarinet at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Valencia with maestro Juan Vercher, achieving the title of Higher Professor of Music in the Mentioned specialty.
He expands his studies of Musical Pedagogy with the teacher Jos Wuytak.
Studies Wind Band Conducting with Eugene Corporon (University of North Texas), José R. Pascual Vilaplana, Lorenzo Della Fonte (Turin Conservatory, Italy), Enrique García Asensio, Markus Theiner, and Jose Mª Cervera Collado. And he is also studying Composition with Franco Cesarini (Conservatory of Lugano, Switzerland) in Italy.
Jose Alcacer has a Master's degree in Music Research from the International University of Valencia.
As Guest Conductor, he has conducted the Banda Musicale Citta de Procida in Naples, the Orchestra di Fiati Kart Orff in Priolo Gargallo, Sicily, the Wind Orchestra U. Giordiano in Rodi Garganico, the Orchestra di Fiati Il Leoncini de Abruzzo a Pescina, Il Corpo Musicale Pietro Giannone, La Orchestra Accademia 2008, the Band of the Viennese Guard to Vienna, the chamber orchestra Antonio Vivaldi of Brescia, the Band Citta di Fano, the Band of the Italian Army in Rome, NjcaBanda de Favignana, Italian Brass band, the Stanford Wind Symphony, the Carroll University Symphony Orchestra in the USA, The band of the Brazilian Army, the Municipal Orchestra of Sopros "Maestro Agostinho Duarte Martins" by Lençois.
He has been Conductor of the wind Band of the Musical Artistic Center of Moncada from 2005 to 2014, with which he won in 2009 the first prize in the Provincial Wind Band Contest of Valencia and of the Musical Corporation of the Pobla de Vallbona from 2003 to 2006.
Co-founder of the Ars Chamber Orchestra and the Stravinsky Ensemble.
Principal guest conductor of the Italian Brass Band.
Member of juries in international wind band competitions.
Conductor of the Trentino Youth Symphony Band, belonging to the Federation of Wind Bands of the Trento Region (Italy) from 2017 to 2020.
On the other hand, since 2011 he has been director of the Conservatory Music Professional of the City of Moncada, where he teaches The specialties of clarinet, chamber music and orchestra.
He conducts the Wind Band and Orchestra of the Professional Conservatory of Music from the City of Moncada.
Since September 2021, he has been conductor of the Unió Musical de L´Eliana and since October 2022 of the Njcabanda Project in Favignana, Sicily.
He is a member of the Wasbe (World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles)
