It's not just about moving your arms...

Despite the great responsibility that the wind band conductor acquires at the head of band groups, it is well known how little evolution the methodology has undergone in the field of conducting since the appearance of the first Wind bands in Spain.
Probably a large part of the reason is that wind bands belong to a semi-professional world, so there has been little rigor in the selection of wind band conductors. The primary objective of the project is to revalue the figure of the wind band conductor and, above all, to cover a gap in teaching, since there is no evidence of the existence of a specific methodology aimed at the psychological and emotional management of wind bands performers by of a wind band conductor. At the same time, this work aims to offer those who enter the world of wind bands, resources that allow them to manage a musical group.
To do this, experimentation is resorted to in these groups using resources related to “neurocoaching” adapting them to the needs of the environment and above all, contextualizing the current situation of our society. The work is based on my own experience of more than 20 years in conducting and in turn on the contribution, through interviews, to both wind band conductors and musicians. It is also intended to give an adequate term to all the actions that are carried out daily in management for or against the group.
